Why dwatchman?

One day, as I was reading Ezekiel 33:7, I heard a voice clear in my heart that spoke a word – WATCHMAN. The Bible said in that passage, that Israel would have a watchman on the wall who would call out impending doom. If the watchman called and the people refuse to hear and destruction came upon them, then their blood would be on their heads. But if the watchman knew what was coming and refused to warn the people and destruction came, then their blood would be on the watchman’s head.

God has called us to turn people from the error of their ways, and we the church, have strayed far from God’s original plan, purpose and intent for us. Our first assignment has always been to let people know that the messiah has come, and that he has paid the price to take away the sins of the world. Our second assignment is to build the body of Christ which is the church and help it grow from one level of perfection to another. God has equipped us with the ministry gifts for that very purpose. Our third and final assignment is to show the world the love of Christ and of God, by loving ourselves. We are miles away from our assignment as the body of Christ on earth.

This is a call to repentance, A call to remembrance, A call to righteousness, A call to living the resurrected life of Christ on earth. He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit is saying. The man who hears and does these things is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The winds blew and the rain came and the house still stood strong. Let everyman be careful how he builds, for there is no foundation laid, other than that which is already laid in Christ Jesus.
